GummySearch vs Byline Leads

A GummySearch alternative for finding customers on Reddit

GummySearch was a favourite for finding an audience on Reddit. It closed to new users after it could not agree commercial terms for Reddit's API. If you used it to find threads worth replying to, Byline Leads does that job a different way: it never touches Reddit's API, and it covers TikTok, Quora, Facebook and forums too.

GummySearch stopped new sign-ups and payments on 30 November 2025. Existing subscribers keep access until their billing period ends, and the service shuts down for good on 1 December 2026, when its user data is deleted.

Which one

Pick the one that fits the job

When Byline Leads is not the replacement

  • You used GummySearch for market research: reading a whole community to find pain points and product ideas. Byline Leads does not summarise subreddits; it finds threads to reply to.

  • You need every new Reddit post that mentions a keyword. Byline Leads only looks at what ranks on Google.

Choose Byline Leads if

  • You used GummySearch to find threads where people ask for a product like yours, and want to keep doing that.

  • You want a tool that does not depend on Reddit's API: Byline Leads reads Google results and never calls reddit.com.

  • You want more than Reddit: the TikToks, Quora answers, Facebook posts and forum threads Google shows for the same searches.

  • You want a short list with replies already written, for $10 a month.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Will Byline Leads shut down for the same reason?

GummySearch closed because it needed Reddit's API and could not agree terms for it. Byline Leads does not use Reddit's API at all. It runs searches on Google through a search-results provider and keeps the Reddit threads (and other conversations) that Google ranks. Your links open on reddit.com in your own browser.

Can I bring my GummySearch keywords across?

There is no import, but setting up takes a couple of minutes: describe what you sell, add up to 10 searches your customers make (we suggest some from your website), and pick countries and platforms. Your old keywords make a good starting list.

Does Byline Leads post the replies for me?

No. Each result comes with a reply written for that thread, in its language. You read it, change what you like, and post it yourself from your own account. Nothing is posted automatically.
